I hope you enjoyed the first four articles in this 5 part series which introduces my journey through transformation. If you need a refresher, you can find Part 1 here, Part 2 here, Part 3 here and Part 4here. This is the final article in this series. Thank you for stopping by and reading my expedition of life. Remember to share, like and comment on the post.
As mentioned in part 4, 2013 was an amazing year full of transformations and discoveries. There were so many accomplishments and changes that I had to split the year into two parts.
After creating the Fire Love set I then kept wanting to create other pieces and just like the Tasbihs, each jewellery item I created, I kept raising the bar and the amount of details that went into them. Once again, I found myself craving the creativity and passion each piece brought to my inner soul.
On one hand, I had been writing blog articles for the Roundhouse and on the other hand working on growing my business (building a website, designing pieces, social media, and learning about different stones) combined with school and working at Matrix. Yes, there was a lot going on and I loved every moment of it and still do love every moment of it.
I had written an article on flamenco dancing and a friend of mine noticed it and asked if I would be able to write an article on an Ismaili Art Exhibit -Intersections Discovering Infinite Possibilities. I was delighted and honoured being an Ismaili and being able to write from different perspectives. Little did I know that the conversation with my friend would change my life significantly? With about a month prior to the exhibition, I called my friend to interview her and from our conversation I ended up being an exhibitor in the art show. I had well passed the entry deadline and was totally stepping out of my comfort zone. I'm so glad I followed the little voice inside of me to ask if I could participate. I wore my Fire Love set and a fellow artist loved so much that he bought it right off of my neck. You can only imagine how much gratification I felt and shifting my energy level to a higher vibration. People who have known me for years were very surprised and impressed with my work. I had a few pieces that were hot cakes, everyone admired them and wanted them but since they had already been purchased there was not much I could do. It is a wonderful feeling knowing that your work has an impact on people and knowing that each piece brings joy to that individual is everything to me. I am a giver and enjoy it granted it is for the betterment of mankind.
There had been a lady who had come to my display and bought a few pieces but I also noticed she was very timid, unsure of things, and needing constant assurance. Despite all of this, she was soulful person and a very nice lady who had been hurt in the past and was looking for some hope or light at the end of the tunnel. You ask why this is important or relevant. I connected with her as I was once there 3 years back looking for some hope. When I saw her, I realised, I had grown emotionally and intellectually that I finally had let go of my baggage at that point. Weight had been lifted off of my shoulders and I had just pulled away a layer ok my skin and transforming into the original Fatima.
2013 was really about me stepping out of my comfort zone, transforming, letting go of things that no longer serve me and taking a stand for myself and what is right. Truly blessed! I am also grateful to my reconnection to the divine with a deeper spiritual connection, bliss, happiness and my intuition. If these last few years have taught me anything, that is always follow your dreams and never let anyone tell you what your dreams are and do not fall in the rat race.
That concludes the Transcending Journey series, hope you have enjoyed my journey and be sure to follow my ongoing journey. Every day is a new experience.
