A Midsummer Night's Dream

Are you a Shakespeare devoutee?

Have you had the privilege to watch one of Shakespeare's many beautiful plays?

At a very young age we are all introduced to the incredible work of Shakespeare like; Romeo and Juliet, Hamlet, A Midsummer Night's dream and many other pieces. As student I did not always appreciate learning Shakespearean English but secretly wished I would have such a raw, passionate and romantic love affair.

On July 25, 2014 I had the privilege among 20 other YVR Bloggers to attend Bard on the Beach and we were fortunate to spend an 1 hour with Christopher Gaze (the artistic dircetor) before the show, we experienced amazing conversations, fabulous company, cultural encrichment, a night of raw laughter, and a beautiful view of Vancouver. What more can you ask for?

Living in Vancouver, I had always wanted to view Bard on the Beach and as a Shakespearean virgin I was not sure what to expect but after the first 20 mins of the modern rendition of a Midsummer Night's Dream I had fallen in love and asked myself why I had never been introduced to Shakespeare on the beach.

This year is a very special year as it marks the 25th anniversary for The Bard. Bard on the Beach has been voted the third top tourist attraction in Vancouver. Looking for a way to impress your date or enjoy an evening with friends and family? The Bard is the place to visit and allows your senses to be transformed to new heights.

For those of you are unfamiliar with A Midsummer Night's dream, it is about a love square and magic potions. Sounds very complicated, but easy to follow and understand. The best part of the play were all of the comical modern renditions.

By popular demand 2 additional shows have been added. If you have not had a chance to experience The Bard it is not too late. You can buy your tickets here.
